How camp works
Step 1
Apply once
One application per household, however many children you're enrolling. There's no advantage to applying at several centers — and doing that used to hold seats other families needed.
Step 2
Rank the centers you want
Choose the camps that work for your family, in the order you'd prefer them.
Step 3
Everyone is matched at once
Camp is not first come, first served. Nothing is decided until applications close, so applying on the first day is no better than the last. City residents are matched first.
Step 4
You get one offer
You'll be offered one place, with a set number of days to accept. Decline, and the seat goes to the next family in line.
Good to know
- Do siblings get placed together?
- We try to keep siblings at the same center. Add every child to the one household application rather than applying separately.
- What if I don't get my first choice?
- You're offered the best of your ranked choices still available. If none are, you stay on a single waitlist and are offered a place as soon as one frees up.
- Does applying early help?
- No. Every application received before the deadline is matched together, so the first day and the last day are equally good.
- What does camp cost?
- Free Recreation programs, camp included, are free.
